Thek, as I am fondly called by my family and close friends, is Maria by my co-workers, Thess by other friends, Thet or Thetet, by my favorite Aunts, Theresa by my mom-inlaw, Tere, by my father-in-law, Tart by my hubby, Mommy by my Markus… my co-activitists back in college called me Bok, (everyone was called Bok) I can be Thekla or Thakla to special friends, Maua Shristi to my Indian guru, can be Neon, Jace, Tartee, Sweet pea and Sunshine (*my favorite). You can call me anything you like… but this is me, no more, no less.
I love poetry, I love to write. I have some works that were published in smaller scale like the college newspaper. I have done some collaborative works in the past mainly for science magazines and feaure articles on newspaper. I have written a number of resource materials as well for non-formal education. My favorite gig was writing articles for science magazines catered to elementary and secondary students like Bato Balani, Ating Agham etc. I miss this gig.
When I was small, about 8 or 9, I dreamed about writing my own book someday. I still have this dream… and until it becomes a reality, please share with me my inspiration and passion through this blog…

Maria_h’s Sphere is a compilation of my thoughts about life, my passion and inspiration. It also showcases my passion of photography. It is a new outlet of expression for me. I have been taking pictures from my old 3mm camera back in early 90′s but my Cannon digital camera has given me flexibility and more room for creativity.
This site in it’s totality is an expression of creativity or simply a narration of various things that interest and surround my world… my space.. my sphere…
